About the University
The University of Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan (UOEH) was established for the purpose to support worker’s health and to train occupational health physicians and other professionals who contribute to the development of work places and society. The academic departments which organize the Graduate School of Medical Science include basic medical science and clinical medicine departments, as well as the University Hospital and the interdisciplinary departments in the Institute of Industrial Ecological Sciences (IIES), and cover a wide area of occupational medicine and research. Therefore, students are able to conduct interdisciplinary studies efficiently beyond the borders of individual departments. International students are enrolled only in Graduate School of Medical Science at UOEH.
Programs / Services for International Students
Asia International Educational Program for Graduate Students in the Field of Occupational Health” is the program proposed as one of the grant systems of MEXT so-called “Initiatives for Attractive Education in Graduate Schools.” The purposes of the program are to recruit international students from Asian hub-universities and train them at the Graduate School together with Japanese students under highly competitive environment to become a successful researcher who is capable to perform globally, as well as to build an Asian research network in the occupational medicine field which meets international standards in the near future.
